Come spend a hands-on afternoon with Dr. Chinara Tate and Natural Foods Chef Yadira Garcia Aka Happy Healthy Latina as you learn to put joy and ease into preparing healthful meals for you and the entire family. At this workshop you and your entire family will have the opportunity to learn the basic pillars of becoming an empowered and intuitive cook.

This collaborative and highly interactive program aims to bring families together to discuss, connect and get engaged in preparing healthful nourishing food. Everyone has to eat so we all have food stories and resources to share – uncover and add your gems! We’ll build on crowd-sourcing knowledge from ancestral, culinary, cultural and medicinal cooking techniques to:

  • Build a fresh, healing and flavorful pantry
  • Learn the secrets of sourcing local, fresh, produce and vegetables. While saving money + getting the most nutrients
  • Mise En Place – How to prep a variety of ingredients you can remix through the week to break up Meal Fatigue
  • Be a Natural Sauce Boss. Build layered rich flavor without artificial fats, salts, sugars and preservatives.
  • Build children’s confidence and interest in preparing, cooking and exploring new foods

Together we will partake in making mealtime preparation a fun and delicious experience for the entire family. Whether you have one or multiple tiny helpers we encourage you to bring the whole family to this class. From saucing, to knife skills, to prepping and cooking, learning to be involved in the process of feeding yourself is one of the best ways to infuse enjoyment and lifelong knowledge into the process.
