September 29  |  2:30 – 4:30 PM  |  Suggested donation: $10
** No one will be turned away in all community classes **

HealHaus welcomes you to attend the seventh installment of our experimental panel series Healthy Conversation. This experience is not your typical Q + A at the end, but an open dialogue amongst panelists and attendees. We encourage authenticity, curiosity, and transparency to break down stigma and address topics that would normally be considered taboo or even controversial to speak about. This month we dive in to My Job or My Mind moderated by the Co-Founder of HealHaus, Elisa Shankle and panelists Ouigi Theodore, Founder of BK Circus, Isis Arias, Executive Producer of ComplexCon, and Alphonzo Terrell, Global Director of Social and Editorial at Twitter. This topic will explore how being in the workplace environment or an entrepreneur intertwines with our mental health. The constant ‘grind culture’ can be toxic, working for yourself can feel isolating or unstable, and within a corporate work environment it can mean facing discrimination and struggling to be your complete self. All of these things can affect our mental and emotional health, so how do we maneuver it? Lets talk about it. This is just the tip of the iceberg of what we will delve in to. Healing happens through community, and we invite you to help us shift the culture. The only prerequisite is to be yourself, respect others, and keep it 100.

Online booking strongly recommended, spots are limited. Donations from this event will be donated to The Institute for Workplace Equality. Their mission is to provide training and education to assist federal contractors in understanding and complying with their non-discrimination and affirmative action obligations, and in developing and maintaining compliant and effective workplace policies and practices.
