Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing. When we are mindful we are less likely to be overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis. Mindfulness meditation is a practice that involves focusing the mind on your experiences in the present moment and as a result, relieving stress and tension from the body and the mind.

We will use breathing practices, mental imagery, awareness of body and mind, as well as muscle and body relaxation to explore the present moment non-judgmentally in the service of self-understanding and wisdom.
