Adriana Bateh
Adriana grew up in a fitness-oriented family, with a single mom who worked as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer. Immersed in the toxic gym culture of the 90’s for her formative years, Adriana developed body dysmorphia and eating disorders. She never felt fully connected to her body until she found yoga in her early 20’s.
Adriana was hooked on yoga from her first class. She loved that it was not only a physical movement practice that she could relate to, but that it also provided her with a mindfulness practice. Yoga took her out of her mind and into her body, and gave her a deeper appreciation for her body’s abilities and power that she never felt before.
In 2015, Adriana completed her 200 hour teacher training at Sacred in Bedstuy Brooklyn, under the guidance of Dara Cole and Stephanie Battle, and began teaching quickly after graduation.
Adriana loves to lead classes that are physically challenging, yet accessible for all levels. She hopes students feel empowered, encouraged, and more connected to their bodies following her classes. Adriana’s teaching also draws inspiration from her active flexibility practices, and she takes true joy from helping students feel progressively stronger and more open in their bodies.
