Brandon Ruiz

Brandon Ruiz is a Community Herbalist and Urban Farmer based in Charlotte, NC who runs Yucayeke Farms, a community farming and herbalism project dedicated to providing equal and affordable access to culturally-appropriate herbalism and food. His herbal focus is on Appalachian and Caribbean medicines, specifically in Puerto Rico where his heritage originates. Brandon has led low-cost herbal classes, farm-fresh harvesting days and much more through his work, expanding from the multiple gardens he has run in Charlotte to around the U.S and into Central America.
