Ebony Medas, LMHC

Ebony Medas is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who has been practicing psychotherapy since 2009. She is also a certified Master Instructor in Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET®) and Level II Reiki Practitioner – allowing her to guide clients with releasing suppressed cellular memories and emotions from the energy anatomy and human energy field. She uses gentle hands to safely support clients as they release limiting energy patterns of the past. The use of Reiki has been helpful for her clients looking for a tool to provide stress relief, relaxation, and guidance on their healing journey. Utilizing a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, she tailors therapy based on her client’s needs. She has worked with culturally diverse individuals ages 6 and above, couples, families, and the dual-diagnosed population.

In addition to individual and family therapy, Ebony also provides group therapy, crisis intervention, and career counseling services. Combining her clinical expertise and passion for writing, she also facilitate therapeutic writing workshops as an alternative to traditional talk therapy. During sessions, you will receive guidance in exploring and better understanding your presenting concern(s), as well as support in identifying coping techniques/strategies. By incorporating a self-care & strengths-based approach into sessions, clients are able to recognize that they can live happy, meaningful, and successful lives.

Ebony’s work as a mental health clinician has allowed her to work with individuals who have been diagnosed with different things ranging from anxiety, depression, to schizophrenia. The major thing that she learned in all of this is that we are all human… and we all need love and support.
