Jessica Angima

Jessica Angima is a first generation, Kenyan-American meditation instructor and arts administrator. Since completing a 300-hour training, she has been leading loving-kindness and shamatha practices throughout New York City. In February 2017, she co-founded the People of Color Meditation Sit at MNDFL. She has taught at SELF Magazine, MediClub and the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts. In addition to her work in mindfulness, Jessica serves as Fellowship Program Assistant to the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Management Fellowship. This program aims to build long-term equity and diversity in the field of arts management. Currently based in Brooklyn, she hopes to merge her work in meditation and the arts to bring about social and political change.
