
Stephanie Battle
My name is Stephanie. I have been a mover all of my life. With a background in dance, music and theater, self-expression has always been integral to my spiritual development. I began practicing yoga in 2001 as a way to prepare my body, mind and spirit for the rigors of the Broadway stage.
I received my 200 Hr certification in 2010 from Yoga to the People and deepened my knowledge with an advanced certification from Sonic Yoga in 2016. I hold specialized certifications in meditation, restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra, all received under the guidance of Alan Finger and Mona Anand of Ishta Yoga.
My classes are rooted in the Vinyasa style with an emphasis on breath awareness, alignment and self expression. After teaching yoga asana, meditation, pranayama and philosophy for over 10 years, my greatest joy as a teacher is being witness to a students’ transformation–when physical alignment gives way to grace and presence…and when doing gives way to being.
