Yitzy Hoppenstein

Yitzy Hoppenstein is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher. He started practicing yoga at the suggestion of a movement instructor at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute where he studied method acting. Although Yitzy was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, he was primarily focused on lifting weights. His body was tight. The first time he took yoga it was a transcendent experience. He learned that his body was storing all the inner challenges he was facing and had faced. Inspired by this realization, he began exploring other forms of meditation and healing somatic experiences. Yitzy, a devoted Jewish practitioner already, began to align his mind, body, emotions, and spirituality in a newfound way. It became clear that he needed to utilize and integrate all of his parts towards a common good in order to thrive. His ultimate goal is to remove all the blockages that prevent him from being aware of the Light that flows through him, everyone, and everything. Part of that mission is to offer the practices that have benefited him to others. He looks forward to seeing you in class.
